The sequence given in the “Key” below is the order you should take your courses in. Each line of the key corresponds to a section in the article below and its requirements. Contact your Peer Mentor for any questions or concerns on course sequencing.

Associate Degree Requirements
All C1 courses must be completed before any other courses can be taken.
NOTE: If you have not completed PC 103 or GS 120 through PathwayConnect, you will need to complete the course GE 103 – Online University Skills. |

Scenario 1
If you chose Technical Support Engineer as your C1, you have the following options for C2:
- Database – One of the following certificates will need to be completed first:
- Technical Support Engineer
- Web and Computer Programming
- System Administration – One of the following certificates will need to be completed first:
- Technical Support Engineer
- Web and Computer Programming
Scenario 2
If you chose Web and Computer Programming as your C1, you have the following options for C2:
- Database – One of the following certificates will need to be completed first:
- Technical Support Engineer
- Web and Computer Programming
- Software Development – The Web and Computer Programming certificate will need to be completed first
- System Administration – One of the following certificates will need to be completed first:
- Technical Support Engineer
- Web and Computer Programming
- Web Development – The Web and Computer Programming certificate will need to be completed first
ACTION ITEM In the last semester of your C2, you will need to apply for graduation. |
AR – Associate Religion
- 2 cornerstone religion courses and 2 additional religion courses.
Program required core courses:
- Math 108X: Math for the Real World
- WRIT 101: Writing in Professional Contexts
- WRIT 101 replaced ENG 150. If you have already fulfilled this requirement with ENG 150, you would not need to take WRIT 101.
- BUS 301: Advanced Writing in Professional Contexts
- ENG 301 was no longer offered after the Fall 2023 semester. If you have already fulfilled this requirement with ENG 301, you would not need to take BUS 301.
- GE 103: Online University Skills (Fulfilled by PC 103, GE 103, or GS 120 taken during PathwayConnect)

Associate Degree Complete
Bachelor’s Degree Requirements
The bachelor’s degree requirements include completion of the associate degree requirements listed above. Prior to taking any of the courses listed in the bachelor’s degree requirements, you will need to complete all associate degree requirements.
C3 – Certificate 3
Scenario 1
If you chose Technical Support Engineer as your C1 and Database –OR- System Administration as your C2, the C3 will be the certificate not chosen for C2 (i.e., If they chose Database as C2, C3 will be System Administration, if they chose System Administration as C2, C3 will be Database):

- System Administration – One of the following certificates will need to be completed first:

Scenario 2
If you chose Web and Computer Programming as your C1, your C3 options will be the certificate options not chosen for C2 (i.e., If Database were chosen as C2, C3 options would be Software Development, System Administration, or Web Development):

I - Internship
- GS 497 - Professional Projects
Prerequisite – Minimum of 50 credits
NOTE: If students have an internship lined up, they can still register for CIT 490 OR CIT 498 but starting Winter 2025, all students will be required to take GS 497 to fulfill the internship requirement.
NOTE: Internship Waiver requests are no longer processed by BYU-Pathway Worldwide. All Applied Technology students must complete the GS 497 - Professional Projects to fulfill the internship requirement.

BR – Bachelor Religion
- 2 cornerstone courses and 1 additional course
BG – Bachelor Generals
Students will no longer take the breadth course options that may be listed in their Degree Audit and will instead take the Leadership and Self Reliance Module courses listed below:
- Arts & Humanities – 1 course
- HUM 110 – Discover/Discern Through Arts
- Natural Science – 2 courses
- PUBH 132 – Personal Health & Wellness
- GESCI 110 – Sustaining Human Life
- Social Science – 2 courses
- FCS 160 – Home & Family Resource Management
- PEACE 101 – Conflict and Peace
E – Elective Courses
- Degree Planner will plan the required number of elective courses to finish off the student’s upper division credit hour requirement (15 residency credit hours) as well as the minimum credit hour requirement for a bachelor’s degree (120 credit hours).
ACTION ITEM In the last semester of your bachelor's degree, you will need to review your degree audit to make sure you have met all requirements for graduation.
