Costs for textbooks vary based on individual courses students take. To view costs associated with individual courses, visit the Course List.

Starting Fall 2023 semester, all students (ONLN and PWOL) who pay $80 or less per credit DO NOT need to pay for course materials. BYU-Pathway Worldwide covers the cost of the materials for these students. You should not see a "University Store" in your account unless you have purchased something from the University Store on your own or you need to resolve charges from previous semesters.

All students (ONLN and PWOL) who pay more than $80 per credit are required to pay the full amount for their course materials.

You may see a “University Store” charge in their account. There are 2 different types of reasons why you would receive that charge. The following are the 2 different types of charges:

1- Auto-Access “University Store” Charge

Those who pay more than $80 dollars per credit will be charged automatically for any course materials required that semester. You will receive an email with the details of this charge or can see the charge details in your student portal. You have the option to opt out of receiving this charge if you want to purchase your course materials for the semester from elsewhere. You have until the drop date (day 8) to opt out.

2- Other “University Store” Charge

Those who manually go to the University Store to purchase items will see a “University Store” charge on their account for the cost of the item(s).
